DAY ONE: Villa Escudero Daytrip and enjoy the traditional buffet lunch at the Waterfalls

Embracing Filipino Culture at Villa Escudero!

With all honesty, a day-trip experience at Villa Escudero is worthy, however, you need to stay overnight to explore what it can offer. I do highly recommend the trip for family staycations. You can surely get to enjoy with your family while embracing the Filipino culture. For people living in the Metro,  after reading this blog, I'm quite positive that you'll be blocking your weekend for a long drive to Tiaong, Quezon.

As for the team, we started our journey with an early check-out at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati and went directly to the plantation and resort owned by the Escudero's in Quezon. The travel is approximately 2 1/2 hours via private van.

Villa Escudero is a working coconut plantation founded by Don Placido Escudero and his wife, Dona Claudia Marasigan in the 1880s. This was opened to the public in 1981 and never fails to amaze locals and tourist from all over the globe.

Prior that day, we make sure that we had an early reservations to be accommodated to our desired tour date. You can check here and make a reservation for your next tour.

We visited their private museum which is considered to be the one of the largest museums in the country. Various artifacts have been collected from all over the world. We were not allowed to take pictures inside so we just opt to have shot outside the museum. It was a nice experienced indeed, while we see some artifacts and read love letters between the owners.

Group sot outside the museum. Smile!

Then enjoyed their traditional Filipino buffet lunch, kamayan style, while soaking our feet in the shallow running water of the Labasin Waterfalls Restaurant. Oh my goodness! As for someone who really enjoys Filipino dishes, I was so excited to have a feast at Villa Escudero! As I said, you will have your buffet lunch in bare hands while soaking your feet in the water. Its an experience I would love to do again.

Man made restaurant waterfalls at Tiaong!

You don't need to leave the property to enjoy some fun activities. They also have their some water activities like bamboo rafting, and a Philippine Experience Show, a cultural show opens to everyone. It is one of the many things I really appreciated in the plantation, not that you enjoy the view and sightseeing but also you have the privilege to experience some of the Filipino culture and tradition. Thumbs up for helping the country revisit and experience its true culture.

Our Day Trip at the Villa Escudero.

We were not able to enjoy the pool and try-out their bamboo rafting but a day trip in Villa Escudero is worth the time and travel. The group decided to leave early so we can enjoy our Tagaytagay trip through a visit in their Skyranch.

Not much more to write about the trip since we only have one day to explore Villa Escudero! However, I do recommend the place to all my kababayan and even foreigners to experience the feast and some culture of the Filipino people.

Maraming Salamat po!

Love,

Cotabateña Wanderer
